You can put up to an 8-inch-thick mattress inside and pull the slatted drawer out for a friendly sleep over (the trundle does not pop-up). Or use the empty trundle drawer for spacious storage of bed linens blankets and pillows. The daybed uses a standard twin size mattress and comes with a wooden slat support system. One free mattress may be added to your daybed purchase. Or if you need more sleeping space add the optional trundle and optional additional mattress to your order. Assembly required.
